Step 1: Install the Windows Emulator to Run MT4/MT5 PC on Android
The trick for getting PC-style trading programs to run on your phone is basically a Windows emulator, yep, Winlator (kinda like a bridge).
Go to your mobile browser, then type “Winlator GitHub”<(This will take you to the releases) and hit search. When you land on the page, scroll until you see the “Releases” part, and grab the newest app-debug.apk.
Now open your Android downloads and install the APK on your device (just make sure installations from “Unknown Sources” are allowed in your settings), because otherwise it won’t go through.
Step 2: Set Up Your Virtual PC Container
After Winlator is installed, you’ll want to make a container, kind of like that virtual PC on your android phone.
Tap the + icon, to create a new container. Name it, for example “Trading” ,and pick a screen size that feels fair, like 16:9, so performance stays smooth.
Then go into the Wine Configuration and turn on “Mouse Override” so the cursor doesn’t get stuck or do weird things.
Once it’s set, hit the Play button to launch the container and you’re good to go.
Step 3: Install Essential System Components
Before you fire up MetaTrader, there are two kinda critical components you really shouldn’t skip:
First, go to Start > System Tools and install Wine Gecko and Wine Mono. Basically, these help Windows applications get to run smoothly. Otherwise, some parts may act a bit weird.
Step 4: Download and Install MetaTrader

In Winlator, go to the D: (Download) drive, so you can find that installer.
Tap the setup file twice, then follow the usual Windows install prompts, like normal and just keep going.
Step 5: Adding Your EAs and Indicators
To use the keyboard, swipe from the left side of the screen twice (This is where many people miss it, swipe twice or multiple times to see keyboard selection), then tap Select Keyboard.
Log in to your trading account
To add EAs / Indicators: just double-tap your .ex4 or .ex5 files from your phone’s download folder inside the Winlator file manager. They should show up in the MetaTrader Navigator on their own.
Enable Algo Trading and then drag your EA onto the chart.
Tips for better experience:
In case you have another phone with a good internet connection, then you can apply this strategy to launch EA on your phone.

To keep things going smoothly, make sure you turned off “Battery Optimization” for the Winlator app, and also turn on “Allow Background Activity” inside your phone settings. If you notice it keeps closing, I’d suggest you stay in the app while you’re testing your whole strategy, so it doesn’t get interrupted.
Can I use this for both MT4 and MT5?
The method should work fine for both platforms; I mean you just need to grab the right Windows .exe installer for MT4 or MT5 from your broker site, then run it inside the Winlator container. Personally, I found it works smoothly, especially if you connect a mouse to your Android phone at the same time, because then you get a more pc style experience.
